Advanced Training Program (ATP) <Fall & Spring Seasons>
The SOCA Advanced Training Program (ATP) enhances the skill development of individual players through active training games and fun, skill-building activities. ATP is a great way for Recreation and Challenge players to get an extra, quality training session each week. Typically each training session will be composed of three main parts: individual technical skill development, small group training activities specific to the daily topic, and small sided game play.
The program is targeted toward eager players seeking advancement and is accepting boys and girls players. Training is conducted by fully licensed SOCA staff members and additional certified staff. ATP sessions and training groups are limited in size to ensure appropriate coach-to-player ratio. The program will run for six consecutive weeks meeting once per week at the same day, location and time.
ATP focuses on technical skill development through dynamic activities. Topics will include: dribbling, 1v1 attacking, receiving, passing, shooting, controlling the ball and solving tactical issues through ball mastery. The primary focus will be developing individual ball skills and their application to the game.
Players will train in a small group setting.
